This year the Rwanda High Commission in Zambia (also accredited to Malawi) is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the establishment of the High Commission which opened its doors on the 15^th of June, 2015. In the last decade Rwanda and Zambia, have developed diplomatic, economic, and socio-cultural relations that have strengthened over the years. High-level visits between the respective Presidents of both Rwanda and Zambia have played a crucial role in enhancing relations. Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema made his first state visit to Rwanda in June, 2023 per the invitation of his Rwandan counterpart, President Paul Kagame as a reciprocal visit following President Kagame's state visit to Zambia in April 2022. The bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Zambia is centred on trade and business, education, tourism as well as security.
